B.D. Somani International School announces the appointment of Head of School
Mumbai – B.D. Somani International School in Cuffe Parade, Mumbai announced the appointment of Dr. Geoffrey Fisher, who will be the Head of School, effective 1st August 2019. Dr Fisher comes to us with over 37 years of international experience having worked with schools in Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, and India among other countries. His academic background is in biological science and he has a Doctorate in Education with a speciality in school improvement and school effectiveness.
Dr. Fisher will be responsible for the effective general management of the school with the goal of improving the quality of the student experience. During his appointment, he will establish the structure of this new role and prepare the way for the success of a permanent Head in 2020/21.

Dr Fisher said, “The prospect of becoming a member of such a warm, committed and focused community is very welcome. I had the pleasure of meeting the faculty and a few parents when I visited the school a few weeks ago and the special nature of the school was immediately apparent.”
About B.D. Somani School
B.D. Somani was founded in 2006, starting with a two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. In 2008, an IGCSE Program and primary school were started. It was founded by Aradhana Somani, an educationist whose other successful projects include G.D. Somani Memorial School, Mira Conscious Education Pre-school, and B.D. Somani Institute of Arts and Fashion Technology.
