The annual Prom has been a tradition at B.D. Somani International School for many years and is a much-awaited event for grade 11 and 12 students. This year was no different. October 12th was marked by each student as a special date on the calendar. The level of excitement was greater for the Student Council of 2019, who wanted to introduce changes such as including some games and music to make the event exciting and memorable.
Prom is a great occasion to celebrate the fellowship and bond that students at B.D.Somani share. It is a big part of the identity and ethos of the school. Students collaborate, interact, dress up, make new friends and cement ties with old friends. It is the perfect opportunity for students to socialise and getaway from the intimidating amount of work they have to do IB Diploma students. For the B.D. Alumna too Prom is always an event they remember with great fondness. Prom 2019 has contributed to augmenting this spirit even further.
This year the event was a big success. The venue ‘Pallazio’ at St.Regis was equally grand- supported well by the delicious spread planned for dinner. Everyone was immaculately dressed in gowns and tuxedos. It allowed the students to have an enjoyable time with their fellow teachers and peers!
