Aradhana Somani
Founder & Director
Mrs Somani has been involved in the field of education for over a decade. Her vision entails providing quality education for future generations. Some of her successful projects are G.D. Somani Memorial School, Mira Conscious Education Pre-school, B.D. Somani International School and B.D. Somani Institute of Arts and Fashion Technology. After receiving a Bachelor of Education and a Masters Degree in Ancient Indian Culture, she was inspired to become an educator. The shift in pedagogies in India and recognition of a need to nurture internationally minded, empathetic and caring individuals, motivated her to be involved in international education.
In 2006, B.D. Somani International School was founded, implementing the Diploma Programme (for Grades 11 & 12), recognised by the International Baccalaureate Organization.
Mrs Somani believes that, in the 21st century, we must strive to facilitate learning that provides the foundation for children to be caring, peaceful and globally minded citizens who will “be part of the change they would like to see” (Mahatma Gandhi). It is with this insight and dream that B.D. Somani International School strives to soar to attain higher ideals in education within the Indian context.
