Since coming to middle school, I’ve done things I never dreamed I would be doing. I have learnt so much, not just in the classroom. In Grade 6, our Social Science teachers involved four of my classmates and me in a project for our annual Social Science exhibition. We had been learning about Mumbai that year, and they wanted us to write a book on the history of Mumbai, telling everyone what we had learnt. This book that we envisioned as a small little booklet ended up being 200+ pages, and it is called 'Mumbai: A City Unveiled'. By far my biggest achievement at this school. All our teachers are so passionate about the subjects they teach. They never refuse when a student asks for help, often giving up their free time to help us out. We take risks in class and group projects, confident that everyone will do their part. Everyone has their talents, and we all get a chance to showcase them. If you considering B.D. Somani as your school, I will tell you to look forward to all the projects, the trips and the new friends you will make.
I think B.D. Somani really stands out because of how everyone is always having fun in everything we do. B.D. Somani is truly a community, but in my opinion, B.D. Somani is a family.
