Grade 6 enjoyed an unforgettable monsoon trip to Karjat filled with adventure and learning. Day one took us on a nature trail and a trek to the ancient Kondane Caves, where students explored history in the heart of nature. Back at camp, a quiz and a lively game session brought out their energy and creativity. On day two, students visited a nearby municipal school for community service, playing collaborative games and sharing smiles with local children. The trip ended with a unique talent show, giving alternative endings to popular fairy tales. It was a joyful journey of discovery, teamwork, and fun!
Student Reflections
My experience or reflection of Karjat Trip – Krishang Gupta
This was a start of my secondary journey and it started off with the bang!
By far the most exhilarating, one of the best and a bit dangerous activity was far was our visit to the Kondana Caves. It was a fun physical activity that required us to climb up the hill. I also enjoyed the beautiful views on the way. I was hiking up the trail with other students whom I am not that close with and interact with them as well. I stepped out of my usual comfort zone and still loved it.
I feel that next time the trip should be planned later as we could not enjoy all the activities fully because of the rain.
Karjat Trip Reflection – Samara Shah
One activity I really enjoyed was the trek. I had a great time hiking both upwards and downwards, while being with my friends. It taught me about being independent and resilient. This trip taught me the importance of collaboration and working together to achieve anything. Overall, it was a fun, entertaining and definitely a trip that I will always remember.
Dhsana Mirpuri
The trip was fun and an amazing experience. I got to see how the local school functions. I was reminded of the line ‘never give up and everything is possible’ during the trek because I did not want to continue it, but I did anyway and did not give up. I cannot wait to go for more school trips.
Ishaanvi
This monsoon trip was definitely a memorable experience. One that I can never forget. From all the various different activities I learnt a lot and met many new people along the way. From the very first day we had to keep our room clean and learn how to be responsible by keeping a track of our room keys. Overall, the trip was really fun and enjoyable.
Karjat Trip Reflection – Kaveesha Khanna
On my school trip to Karjat, we enjoyed a variety of activities, which involved both physical games and activities. On our first day we hiked up a hill, walking past the gorgeous but chilly waterfalls. We passed through several streams and trekked up all the way up to the beautiful Kondana Caves. The house games brought up the competitive spirit but also taught us teamwork. I enjoyed playing games like treasure hunt, carnival games and the quiz played by our teachers. Something that brought drama and music to life was the house wise talent show. Our visit to a local municipal school in Karjat was a humbling experience. It was fun doing the art and plays based on Hindi proverbs with the students from the municipal school. Isn’t it amazing that we had all these fun experiences only in a span of two days? This trip will always remain in my heart.
Zahra Kathawala
I had a wonderful time on the trek. It was an exciting experience and I especially enjoyed seeing the waterfall at the end. The descent was a bit challenging since some of us slipped, but that made the adventure even more memorable. Even though the trek was tough, it is a trip, I will always treasure.
I also loved working with my house for the talent show. From doing my makeup to writing the script, rehearsing together, and finally winning many awards, it was such a fun and rewarding experience. Through this, I learnt that when you work as a family, support one another, and come together as a team, success will always follow.

This trip was very fun, and I learnt many things. During the trek, I learnt to overcome my fear of heights and insects. Then, during community service in another school, I bonded and made new friends which was quite surprising because we met them for be 2 to 3 hours. We also learnt some social and communication skills.
Lastly, the talent show was super fun, but we had to do immense preparation, which was definitely worth it.
Overall, I made many new memories on this trip. I also liked the games, but they were way too chaotic and competitive. I am happy to have done all of this with my friends and peers.
