The Grade 11 Della Monsoon Trip was a memorable three-day experience that brought together adventure, learning, reflection, and community building. Through a range of challenging activities and experiences, students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, take calculated risks, and develop resilience.
The challenging trek provided opportunities for students to demonstrate teamwork, communication, and peer support. As they navigated the experience together, they built new friendships and strengthened their sense of belonging within the Grade 11 cohort. These experiences also reflected key qualities of the IB Learner Profile, particularly being risk-takers, open-minded, balanced, and reflective.
The CAS and TOK sessions encouraged students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. Working collaboratively, they explored ideas, questioned different perspectives, and developed creative responses to real-life issues. The academic session further encouraged critical thinking, inquiry, and reflection.
The inter-house talent show added another dimension to the trip, giving students the opportunity to express their creativity, build confidence, and collaborate with their peers.
Overall, the trip created a meaningful balance between adventure, academic learning, creativity, and personal growth, while strengthening relationships and fostering a stronger sense of community among the Grade 11 students.
