Shalini Sharma

Ms. Shalini Sharma has been associated with B.D. Somani International School since 2014. In her journey at B D Somani, she has held key academic and administrative responsibilities, such as, the IBDP and IGCSE History teacher, TOK teacher, Junior and Senior Student Council coordinator, HoD of Group 3, IGCSE coordinator, and currently as the Deputy Principal of Secondary School and IB Diploma Program Coordinator (interim). These roles have strengthened her in aligning the aims and  objectives of Cambridge International and International Baccalaureate programs, as offered at B.D.Somani. She firmly believes in the school’s mission of “nurturing and developing the potential of each of our students…to become dynamic and productive members of a democratic and interdependent society.”

Her passion is to inculcate among students, the attributes of, an inquirer, a risk taker and a reflective learner to achieve academic excellence and provide them with a positive school experience. She enjoys collaborating with the team of dedicated professionals at the school and striving together with them to provide best in class education and processes at B.D.Somani.

She has completed, Theory of Knowledge Course from the University of Oxford. She pursued Bachelors in Arts (History Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi and Post Graduation in History from Delhi University. She  completed Bachelors in Education from Loretto College, Calcutta University. Her enriching school experience at Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi holds a special corner in her heart. She is a certified assessor of the ‘Tata Excellence Education Program” and has completed several workshops in the IBDP and IGCSE curriculum.
