Welcome to BDMUN 2022! Over the years, BD has consistently hosted an engaging Model UNs with exciting debates, and this year will be no different. Despite the fact that MUN was online (atleast that way you could wear pyjama bottoms under your blazers!), delegates got to make the most of the experience through valuable interactions and thought-provoking debate topics. In their committees, they represented their country and debate the issue at hand, get derailed by crises, successfully propose (hopefully) a motion for entertainment, and ultimately attempt to arrive at a resolution.

Participating in MUN is a great way to build your confidence and debate skills. Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced delegate, you’d have the unique opportunity to interact with people and get exposure to a plethora of perspectives and thought processes. Through your research and debate, you’d gain extremely useful problem-solving skills as well. MUN is the perfect platform to unleash your inner argumentative self, learn about current issues, participate in a CAS activity and, of course,
have a lot of fun!

Introducing BEAMS Volume II: Science Inside Out

The BDSIS student-led science journal returns with Volume II: Science Inside Out, the work of a team of editors and designers from Grades 9 and 11, now available in the school library and online.

Tribes for Good: Community Project

Through our partnership with Tribes For Good, Grade 11 student Vipanshi Agarwal designed and led a series of workshops for women with skills in beauty and makeup — combining financial literacy, confidence-building, and awareness of cruelty-free practices. What she found was that the skills were already there. What was missing was someone connecting those skills to the idea of income. This is her reflection on what it means to create impact, and what she learned when she stopped trying to teach and started listening.
