Curriculum Coordinator
Komal believes that we belong to a world where joining the dots is as essential as the strength of those dots. A postgraduate in Education she is a school management professional, her career contour spans over 22 years with K-12 schools – start–ups, established and turnarounds – of which 9 plus years have been in school administration and leadership. She has led workshops with the SAIBSA and multiple organisations for School Leadership, Classroom Management Strategies, Approaches to Teaching and Learning, Understanding International Curriculum, Concepts and Inquiry.
Komal’s core competencies include strategic planning and systems thinking. She is well versed with modern pedagogy and is passionate about innovative practices in curriculum design and instruction developing student centric environment, geared towards maximizing learning experiences. She is working collaboratively with stakeholders at B. D. Somani International School to ensure the development and fidelity of curriculum embedding knowledge, understanding and skills in the learning process.
She was the Founding Central Head at Stellar World School through its inception in 2020.
A key member of the foundational team in developing the educational infrastructure, participated in conceptually designed a novel approach to education with 12 Life Literacies.
She was involved in Identifying, recruiting, and onboarding Head of Schools & Teachers, institutionalizing school policies and procedures in collaboration with stakeholders, building leadership capabilities among individuals and across the three campuses. She led their Bangalore campus Ebenezer International School through its core planning and implementation stages.
She played a key role as Primary Coordinator at Jamnabai Narsee International School and was a part of the pedagogical team to lead the Council for International Schools (CIS) membership and IBDP evaluation in 2019.
She was an influential factor during the IBPYP authorisation at Bombay international school assuming the role of Early Years coordinator and team leader in 2016.
Komal conceptualised and laid foundation for Pyramid Kids Pre- School for the Interlink Group in 2010. Her time with D.Y. Patil international and Childrens Nook pre -school at the start of her career have created a lasting impact and strong desire for her to evolve and design curriculum that is suitably demanding and evolving by nature.
She has completed several workshops in International Curriculum including Creating a culture of thinking, teaching & Learning, Assessments and Inquiry.
